Ten Month, 265 hour --Teacher Training Program
Meets for 2 1/2 hours each week and 1 weekend per month
Spring Program begins February 10, 2010 and the first weekend is TBA
The purpose of this Contemplative Yoga Teacher Training is to teach and introduce yoga asana, pranayama and meditation. We wrap the information into the philosophy of yoga and include information to take yoga beyond the mat to a lifestyle of wellness and stillness. We will be exploring many aspects of Yoga including aspects of Jnana, Bhakti, Karma, Raja and Hatha Yoga. The goal of the program is to learn:
~ basic asana
~ pranayama
~ meditation
~ basic anatomy and physiology
~ styles of teaching
~ marketing skills
~ introduction to the Yoga Philosophy
~ and introduce opportunities for spiritual attunement

Ayurveda for Yogasana Module begins March 18, 2010
The advanced program, combined with the basic program offers a total of 1000 hours of training. Transfers from other training programs are welcome. A complete training would total 735 hours. A 500 hour certificate will be given based on the guidelines outlined in our catalog.
The advanced program is taught in modules which can be taken independently. All require a minimum 200 RYT equivalent certification before you can register. The modules are:
