Ayurveda for well being.
As an Ayurvedic Consultant I educate and coach people on the 6 levels of illness and how, through witness and awareness, we can become more in control of physical and mental health and happiness. Moreover, I help people to understand the importance of being in charge of our mental and physical health BEFORE it becomes a diagnosable illness, which is at level 5. The first four levels, aggravation, accumulation, assimilation, dissipation, are the stages we often ignore. Our choice of lifestyle, how we emote, where we live, what we eat and drink, etc. effect our health. Understanding our dosha, amongst other things, provides a way to achieve balance through breathing, meditation, diet, movement, etc. I believe our jobs are more like educators because we are transferring a dependence on others each time we have an ailment to a feeling of responsibility of how we can rid ourselves of subtleties, which are often ignored yet provide the keys to our health. Ayurveda is an answer. When we understand how our rhythms are part of universal rhythms, we can begin the journey of health, happiness, and longevity.
