Brandie Baumann

Brandie Baumann, CYT, began her journey to yoga in 1999, during a time of physical illness. As she continued a regular practice, she not only discovered improvements in her strength and flexibility, but began to experience both an energy and peacefulness at the end of each class. Wanting to share this wisdom with others, and when she found herself unemployed in 2009, she completed the 265-hour, classically-rooted Contemplative Teacher Training program here, and is continuing to expand and refine her skills as she works toward her 500-hour certification. In her classes, Brandie incorporates asana (poses), pranayama (breath work), and meditation through relaxation, leading her students into the connection between the mind, body and breath. She believes yoga is a practice for everyone, and has a particular interest in providing our senior population with the tools to maintain a healthy, productive and mindful lifestyle.

Molly von Rosenberg

Molly von Rosenberg, CYT, completed her Yoga Teacher Training at PranaYoga Studio in December of 2016. She spent her career in Sales and Banking until gratefully moving into retirement in 2013. With time opening up for her, Molly was drawn to Yoga as a way to release the tight muscles and joints as well as the mental tensions that are often a by-product of the working world. The more she practiced Yoga, the better she felt and the more she wanted to learn. When the opportunity arose to take the teacher training at PranaYoga, she immediately felt it would be the right place and the right decision. She feels blessed to be one of the teachers at this wonderful studio.

Beloved previous instructors:

Maggie Dick

Maggie Dick, CYT, completed her training with Hansa at the PranaYoga and Ayurveda Mandala in 2005. She began dabbling with yoga over 15 years ago and developed a regular practice about 10 years ago. To Maggie, yoga is a passion and a way of life. Maggie has been teaching yoga for 5 years. Her classes tend to be replenishing in nature while incorporating breathing, strength, flexibility and balance. Maggie enjoys working with students at all levels. She appreciates the community aspects yoga offers and is privileged to be working with many of the same students who attended her very first classes! In addition to previously teaching a Morning Refresher class at PranaYoga on Saturday, Maggie works full time at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.

Kim Feres

Kim Feres, Ph.D., CYT500, has been practicing Vinyasa yoga in the T. Krishnamacharya lineage since 2002. According to Krishnamacharya, the teachings of this ancient healing system should be passed down to students directly through experienced mentors.  In keeping with this tradition, Kim’s long-time mentor, Danielle Tarantola, of New York, studies under Kausthub Desikachar of Chennai, India, who is the son of T.K.V. Desikachar and the grandson of T. Krishnamacharya.  Kim completed her 500-hour Yoga Teacher certification through the  Healing Yoga Foundation in San Francisco in November 2011 (www.healingyoga.org).  Her classes bring to light the subtle healing qualities of Yoga, and emphasize the linking of breath with movement in order to refresh the mind and body.   Kim is particularly fascinated by the effects of Vedic Chanting on healing the whole self.  Find information on Kim’s Yoga classes on Facebook.  www.facebook.com/heart.blossom.yoga

Vince Austin

Vince Austin, CYT, started practicing yoga in 2003 with breath-focused meditation and transitioning into Japa Mantra. Seeking methods to sit comfortably in meditation, Vince discovered that an ongoing asana practice not only reduced the discomfort in sitting but also eliminated the aches and pains normally associated with modern life. Vince started his physical practice in 2008 with Dana Huskey and practiced with Dr. Dennie Dorall for several years. Finding that the practice not only relieved pain but also initiated a paradigm shift that made life in general, more pleasant and less stressful, Vince sought an organized method to share the incredible gift of Yoga. Vince found PranaYoga and Ayurveda Mandala to be the perfect place to learn techniques for teaching and sharing this great tradition. Vince completed the 265 hour Contemplative Yoga Teacher Training at Prana Yoga under Laura Kathka's and Hansa's mentorship

Dana Huskey

Dana Huskey, CYT, believes that yoga offers many wonderful gifts to enhance physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She has developed a deep love for the practice because of the valuable lifestyle skills and healing it has provided her. Dana teaches to share the gifts of yoga and hopes to provide her students with life skills they can take ‘off the mat’ to create a balanced, healthy life. Dana formally began her studies of yoga in 2003 and has studied locally under Hansa Knox and Patricia Hansen. She received her Level I Yoga Teacher Certification and Beginning Level Ayurveda Therapist Certification in 2007 at the Ayurveda Yoga Retreat Hospital in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, India. She is an ongoing student of Swami Amitananda. Dana is currently working on BA in Holistic Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
