The Yoga Cikitsa Certification is designed to introduce experienced yoga teachers to the basic concepts of yoga as a therapeutic-based practice. The program is grounded in classical yoga.
Requirements for the Yoga Cikitsa program include a minimal 500-hour training, three years of teaching prior to the beginning of the program, an application form including a pre-assessment, and an interview. For those who have not completed a minimum 500 hours of training and/or based on the evaluation of the pre-assessment, you may be required to take the Bridge Program before acceptance into the full program. - foundations of assisting
- foundations of adaptations
- western anatomy and pathology considerations
- Yoga Sutra
- Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita
- Shiva Samhita, Yoga Yajnavalkaya and Sandilya Upanishad
- kalpa and age groups
There will be many books required for the course; they will be used throughout the full training. Registration will not be completed unless accompanied with the full application for the Yoga Cikitsa Program.
